ABOUT

I am the Music Director at The Center for Spiritual Living, Winnipeg. The Music Genre listing I chose was Christian Contemporary, but only because it was the only close to who we are. We are not Christian. I sometimes jokingly refer to us as the church of Oprah Winfrey because we have much in common with the topics she promotes. We are creating a world class band and music program to exponentially grow Winnipeg's spiritual community. Eventually, I envision us attracting thousands of people to our sunday services, leading to numerous other projects and opportunities. Looking for musicians interested in joining full time, or on a casual basis.

Influences

I've been a singer/songwriter for 37 years. Played in some small bands, and did a lot of solo gigs, Folk Festivals, some bars, coffee houses. Grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, John Prine. I've worked professionally in a clown troupe doing kids songs, and played for Seniors as well. So, my musical influences run the gamut of all ages. Love Rock music, Folk, a little Country, and music with powerfully inspiring lyrics. Rickie Byars Beckwith is my current musical icon (check out her band on youtube performing "Wholly Holy Way."
