I'm looking for a session drummer to join my signed shoegaze/no wave project AloneKitty for upcoming shows and future releases. Record number three comes out this fall with shows booked.

The last two records charted on NACC college radio, and I've been fortunate to work with some wonderful people along the way, including Simon Scott (Slowdive).

I'm looking for someone who enjoys learning parts as they're written. I spend a lot of time arranging songs, and I see the recorded drum parts as an important part of each composition. The goal isn't to reinvent them—it's to bring them to life on stage with conviction and feel.

I'm after someone who is:

reliable and prepared
interested in rehearsing regularly
committed to serving the song
low-drama and easy to work with
looking for some stability rather than just filling a date

While a session drummer is the immediate goal. I'm ultimately hoping to find some long-term stability so if the chemistry is right, I'd absolutely be open to the right drummer becoming a permanent part of the project.

Rehearsals are typically Tuesday evenings in the Dufferin/Geary area, with local and regional shows as they come up.

Previous experience with session work or learning recorded parts accurately is definitely an asset.
