ABOUT

I'm looking for people to play with for fun, any type of music and instruments would be entertained, either singly or (preferably) a number of musicians. This would be for fun with an eye (or ear) towards possibly playing gigs. I am certainly not quiting my day job however. I've played with several bands over the years and I find this very rewarding when it gels. I've played some gigs but never professionaly.

Influences

Bob Dylan, I have a very eclectic songlist, and I love to learn new stuff and show others my stuff - I call it "turning the wheel" My main interests tend to run toward country rock, old and new "folk", blues and country. Songs that I currently find myself playing and some singing include California Dreaming, Wish You Were Here, Shelter From The Storm, Tangled Up In Blue, Amie. I have a number of originals, (not my own), that I play and enjoy. They were written by a friend whom I havn't been able to locate for about 5 years. His name is Shawn Harris, last I knew he was living in Prince George and was playing professionally in a country band. I've played with a few professional musicians over the years and have enjoyed it very much. Last year (2009)I was living in Nanaimo and playing with a guy named Robbie Burns, we had a lot of fun playing together even though our styles didn't completly match. He went by the stage names of Lizard and/or Space, and had, until he moved to Nanaimo (where we were neighbours), been playing in a somewhat successful band (by his estimation), called "Smoked Out Brains".
