ABOUT

Description
Hey there! Anyone who's reading this you're beautiful!!
yeah its upside down, whats it to ya?

Now that I maybe have attention my name's Corey Buck I'm 24 and I've been playing bass and doing backup vocals in a alt rock band called backyard action Heroes for a few years doing bar gigs and festivals/house parties around NS.

I've played many gigs, been in the studio to record an EP.
But honestly I want to take it to the next level.
I've decided that I really want to follow my main passion of writing and singing instead.
So I'm off the create a band!

I'm completely open to names or anything. And my plan is to get the group of people going. And go from there.
I can play bass guitar and sing, or rythem guitar and sing. Don't get me wrong I can definitely play leads, but I definitely think someone with a dedicated role would be much better.

My perfect situation/band would be to have another singer who we could trade off lyrics/verses. Think like blink 182 or the Beatles or the Eagles as examples. I absolutely love singing. But I am no frontman and I'll admit that and I would really like to find someone to match my voice and harmonize.

I'd personally like to either make a 3 piece where I sing/bass, a guitarist/singer. And a drummer(hell maybe he can sing too why not)

Or a 4 piece where I play rythym guitar and sing main. A bassist/sing. Lead guitar/sing drums/sing. This is mainly so I can take a backseat on the bass and we can get hella funky.
It really depends on the type of bassists that are out there since guitarists more or less outnumber bassists 10-1!
Me being a previous bassist I'd like to have someone who has a nice groove and who isn't afraid to slap it and get funky! Not someone who is brain-dead and and root notes 24/7 haha

So what I offer is I have a very strong passion for writing music, I'm willing to go far and beyond to further our influence as musicians. And I expect the same! We will of course be starting from zero. New band, new name. No pay. Doing it in our free time. Everything. But I do have previous experience with other bands and bars/owners so I could definitely find us some gigs. And I know other bands in the same alt rock/metal/punk scene here in NS.

Id really like to keep it in the style of alt/hard rock/funk/nu metal always down for acoustic jams too but hard/alt rock would be the main focus. (I'm very open, as long as it's not straight up folk/country and not Screamo/death metal.

I personally have a few original songs to begin with all to bring to the table. The ideal situation would be to have a small setlist of a mix of original and covers (in our own way). And slowly build up a full list of originals and go from there.

I also got a decent amount of gear accumulated, 300w Bass amp, Peavey 8ch mixer, 12* bass cab on wheels (old amp combo turned into a speaker) Acoustic, 5string ibanez bass, A few pedals. Enough to get started. I need to get myself a microphone thought. My plan is to use the mixer, The bass cab and potentially a rack amp as a PA.

The video isnt the highest of quality but I have some studio masters and some personal acoustic jams if this sounds interesting to you! Hit me up! 420/drink friendly too
