ABOUT

Bring together a group of die hard rock musicians and you get STRUM! The band started in 2007 when guitarists Marco Altieri, Mark Girgis and bassist Louie Pernatozzi were determined to keep their passion for playing classic rock music alive and started out having jam sessions in Louie’s garage . Fueled by a mutual interest in classic rock spanning four decades, and a drive to experience the thrill of performing live on stage, the three decided to seek a drummer and singer to complete the band. STRUM found the missing members and realized their goals, performing at several events followed by several self-promoted shows at Theatre Plaza.The latest addition to the STRUM family is drummer Steve Amorosa .

Our goal is to continue to perform at charity or corporate events in addition to bars across the city.

We are all professionals with full time jobs and are content doing a handful of shows per year. We share a common passion to continue to play timeless classic rock songs and enjoy the experience of playing live. We like to call our passion for music to be "serious fun", in other words, we are not doing this for the money or as a career, however we still take any performance or practice very seriously and make the time in our busy schedules to prepare and practice.
