    A dedication to Lynyrd Skynyrd and their messae " That Smell" As I drifted in and out of toatal insanity with temptations to the needle and everythig else to drift away further in time So here's Drifted On © 2005 {Lyrics + Credits bellow}

Well it' been now almost 30 years.
When I thought I knew it all
    and I left my home.
    I had these thoughts deep
    in my mind.
I needed to see this Country
    on my own.

    So I drifted,drifted on.
Ya I drifted drifted on and
on and on and on, yah.

Well I was so young, so
    young indeed.
It didn't take me long to
find that needle and that spoon.
Plenty of alcohol, pills and weed
    Everything I figured I would
    ever need.

    So I drifted, drifted on.
Ya I drifted, drifted on and on
on and on and on,on and on yah.

I'd listen to that Lynyrd Skynyrd
Band. But I forgot to take their
    message in my hand.
When Ronnie sung Ohh" That Smell"
    I never realized that death
    surrounded me.

    So I drifted, drifted on.
    Ya I drifted ,drifted on
Yah I drifted on, on and
on, on and on, yah and on and on.

It's something about over 55 that hits home. You want to accomplish more while you have time. For me it is playing gigs writing music it a huge part of my spiritual life. To get out from what is deep within oneself.
