So I've been playing guitar for just over 2 years and feel I would improve tremendously by playing with other musicians above or around my own skill level. I've been interested in and playing music all of my life and have tried various instruments but never really got heavily into it until I picked up a guitar. I love playing and making music. I started playing blues which built me up and helped me develop decent rhythm techniques and some lead playing ability (although not great). I have now moved to heavy metal. Namely black metal and blackened death metal, to be specific, which is where I want to continue. Playing gigs is not a priority for me at this point because I feel as though more practice will do me some good (though I am not opposed to the idea and enjoy playing live music). A band would be cool but practice space will be needed and would have to be somewhere near Waterloo as I am going to U of W in the fall. School for me takes priority which is why I am only moderately committed. But who knows what the future holds.

Influences
Black Metal: Darkthrone, Mayhem, Burzum, Bathory (early and late), Behemoth (early and late), Dark Funeral, Watain, Horn, Carach Angren, Immortal, Sargeist, Emperor, Kroda and quite a few others.
I am also influenced (as many are) by classic bands/artists such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, BÖC, ACDC, Black Sabbath and many more.
Some of my death metal influences are Amon Amarth, Aeon, Nile, Bolt Thrower, Beyond Creation and a few more but these are the top. My passion lies mainly in black metal and it's subgenres.

Fender Mustang I digital amp (not very impressive but I'm upgrading to a Randall Diavlo 45W head and a Randall 4x12 cab later on in the year)
