Hello,
I'm a guitarist of 28 years age. I have been playing music for a number of years with show and recording experience. I'm looking to get back in the local music scene again. For the last couple years I have been involved in cover projects which have been a lot of fun and still actively involved in a cover project but I need to start challenging my brain again and squeeze some of that creative musical juice with an original group with players in my age range with similar musical tastes.
My musical influences are all over the place. I enjoy aggressive instrumentals with nice clean vocals. Bands like saosin, story of the year, anberlin, thrice, a day to remember. I also have a soft spot for pop/rock/blues bands like gaslight anthem, black keys, fall out boy, against me, taking back Sunday etc. This is where I draw musical inspiration from however I'm not expecting to sound or be like any of these bands. The players in the room will dictate the sound and that's what I am looking for. I don't like screamo or hardcore vocals ...I'm a bit over that sound and its no longer my cup of tea.
I have good pro level gear and effects to suit any style of music it calls for. I also have regular transportation. Bottom line I'm 28 with a career and I'm not looking for a group that wants to put it all on the line to try to make it. I want to find players in this age range that love to play and put music at the top of their list outside of the regular day to day routine.
If I sound like something you might be looking for please contact me. We can meet for a beer and discuss the project or we can try out a jam and go from there. I have no ego and my main objective is to have some fun and have a couple beers with some good musicians.
