ABOUT

Hi, My name is Mike. I am interested in starting/joining an original Doom/Stoner/Postrock/Postmetal and OR a highly original modern rock/alternative/pop/funk project to which I might be able to lend a heavier edge to. (one can't totally pidgeonhole themselves after all)

Your age or gender means little or nothing to me, only the will to rock.

If you like to Tune Low play it nice and SLOW and Punishingly Heavy but Beautiful or like weird chord progressions AND know who WINO is then CALL me!

I've been playing Bass off and on since the age 15, mostly hard rock and metal. I've played in a few cover bands but would rather play original music.

I tend to listen to newer metal and modern rock like; The Sword, Gojira, Isis, down, Mogwai, Fireball Ministry, other Doom / Stoner metal , blues based metal, some pop, and progressive stuff as well.

My chops are a little more than average, but I'm not a shredder. I tend to play by ear as I don't really have any type of formal music training to speak of.

I truly enjoy and excel at improvisational jamming.

Umm.... I tend to be a wee bit on the loud side (ok.. unapologetically loud, lol) but do understand dynamics as well.

I tend to be influenced more by drummers and good rhythm guitarists and good song writing.
