JUDGED is a new vocal competition which will be held in Edmonton, AB. We are searching for Edmonton’s top vocalist! Our mission is to discover and promote local talent while bringing a new form of live entertainment to the city of Edmonton.
JUDGED is open to anyone over the age of 18. Singers, rappers, duos or groups of any genre are welcome.
Audition places are limited, so be quick! Registering early will secure your audition and help avoid disappointment. For an application to enter the competition go to the GET JUDGED page to secure your audition.
Contestants will be judged based on their vocal and visual performances. The panel will consist of 3 Judges. Each Judge will rate the contestants performances on a 10-point scale, 5 points for song choice and vocal performance, 3 points for stage presence / entertainment value and 2 points for audience reaction.
After each contestants performance, the Judge’s scores will be combined and counted towards that particular contestants points. The point system will start at the live audition round and all points will be accumulated up until the finale.
Once the competition reaches the Top 12, at the end of each round the audience will get a chance to vote for their favorite performer. Two contestants one with the lowest number of points and the other with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated. The finale winner will be chosen based on audience vote only.
