Hi I'm a guitarist from london just moved to kelowna a couple of weeks ago and looking to start a band playing some combination of surf, 50s r&b, rockabilly, early rock and roll etc.
Last year I toured europe playing guitar and BVs with London ska favourites the delegators https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5BOtk8tv7o .
Also held a weekly residency for 18 months with my surf/rockabilly trio 'surf cats' prior to moving to canada (not the same surfcats you'll find on google). I was sharing lead vocals with the bassist in this lineup.
In a former life I was a professional guitarist in London for over two years, surviving off a loop pedal, repertoire of over 200 instrumental tunes, jazz duo with sax. Have been playing classical guitar since age 6 and gigging with bands playing rock and roll, surf, blues, rockabilly, ska, rocksteady, bebop, funk, soul and anything that swings since age 16.
So ideally I would like to find a keys player possessing combo organ like a vox, farfisa, yc20 or any good sounding keyboard. Vocals and existing repertoire would be a plus, to form a good double act on stage. I have around 2/3 hours worth of tunes for guitar/bass/drums trio but would love to team up with a good keys player - would really open up to play a lot of other interesting stuff from pipeline to the meters to jackie mittoo.

EQUIPMENT
guitars: home-made hand-wired valve amp based on blackface deluxe, vintage '63 epiphone century, fretking tele, cheapo korean gretsch copy I hot-rodded to something quite special, '59 hofner senator, fender japan p-bass, tanglewood acoustic, nice spanish classical guitar, many pedals.
Home studio: yamaha aw2400, daw setup, condensor mics, ribbon mic, dynamic mics, di boxes, cables etc. Also various synths, midi gear and a modest home-built modular synth...
Unfortunately most of my stuff not yet arrived in container from the uk...
