Trumpet:
I played trumpet in stage and concert bands through middle and high school and a little when on the road in the late 1970s with showbands.
I then played a little at jazz jams throughout the 80s/90s.
I have recently returned to serious study and play.
I am currently studying with the trumpet great Bobby Shew.
Other professional experience:
- recorded a CD with my TWNJC, my Celtic Jazz band
- recorded 2 CDs with Ar n-Òran, my Scottish Gaelic choir
- recorded 4 CDs with IMA award winning Fiùran
- lots of gigging experience over the last 45+ years
I am now off the road and looking for some trumpet soul food, preferably with a stage band or jazz combo, but am open to other project ideas potentially including musical theatre.
