ABOUT

You can contact me via email here SoundingGreatNow@protonmail.com

I’m near Port Moody (big house separate studio and separate jam room etc). My forte is versatility and not any one genre. Most of my live local paying gigs over the years have been as a solo act and/or male-female duo emphasizing pop, jazz, rock, blues, country, etc (in no particular order). It used to be a main source of income for a number of years. I like the band thing as well of course.

I can sing and play an entire night’s worth of tunes. I have a TC Electronics Voicelive 3 Extreme so I can do lots of great vocal parts, but it's nice to have others singing of course. I don't do screaming vocals or grunge vocals or raunchy vocals. I have a smooth voice with a decent range and a nice falsetto. I have formal musical training with Royal Conservatory piano and Capilano University which helps me with some musical styles such as jazz and some pop.

I'm 65 and my hair is long and my humour's intact (how else could I survive being married). I recently retired from teaching, so I am relatively free from worldly constraints.

If you look at my gear list you'll discover I can play pretty much anything using the guitar as a controller via Fishman TriplePlay Wireless Guitar MIDI Controller and/or Roland GK-3 Guitar Divided Pickup and/or various processors.
