Peter Jeffery

Band to Join.

I've been a working f/t band leader ... but more often a hired drummer or band member for shows and tours from coast-to-coast. While I’ve played different styles of music, I consider myself to be primarily a rock/ classic rock drummer.

Most of the bands and artists I’m influenced by are from the 1970s’. Bands like Aerosmith, Rush, Heart and Zeppelin top my list ... as well as Priest, early Maiden, and many other NWOBHM acts ... plus classic radio/ pop rock from Bowie to Paul Simon, The Police, Stones, Beatles, Steely Dan, Toto, The Cars and many others.

Also like jazz - a LOT- along with several Latin and Afro-Caribbean styles, Reggae, Celtic rock, old punk, old new wave, 80's Brit pop, some art rock (early Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, etc), modern blues ... progressive rock & some alt rock from the 90s’ (AIC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc). In other words, almost everything!?

For whatever past gigs are worth(?) — I’ve played smaller stadiums, several universities, large outdoor festivals; Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta (BVJ co-headliner in the Beer Gardens for 2 consecutive years), Seafood Fest in Charlottetown, PEI, Shellfish Festival with a Celtic pop band .... smaller festivals such as Bedford Days, DND, Shellfish Fest, and others. I’ve played from Grand Falls-Windsor, NFLD Splash Festival to theatres and night clubs in Victoria, BC with various rock, hard rock, tribute bands and Celtic bands ... coast-to-coast and most stops in between.

Looking for an experienced band or a recording artist to back. If you aren’t gigging, that’s okay - maybe even preferable unless gigs are outside of/beyond the usual local bar band circuit.

An interesting project playing good original material or interesting or challenging music is of definite interest. An exception to "not" wishing to play nightclubs might be a very happening Aerosmith, Rush, Santana, Paul Simon, Zeppelin (etc) tribute band. And I'm fine with nightclubs - so long as there are scheduled or intended other venues included in the mix.
