In the midst of a musical revolution is yet another band that tries to stand out. Brought together from a mutual love for heavy music, beer and a city who’s name rhymes with fun , is Regina’s own Not As One.

Not As One is a heavy metal band with grunge/alternative roots. Formed in Regina, Saskatchewan in the late 2000’s and have become a crowd favourite with growing numbers of their underground following. “A crossover sound - like if Nirvana met Deftones and had a baby” is how Scott Racette , rhythm guitarist, describes the music. ”Just a new heavier approach to the grunge sound.“ Garth Bellerose, singer, suggests that the music takes you to “darken depths that you could be all relaxed taking in the groove and then all of a sudden you feel like smashing windows”

The band has one cd in production to date, “The Road to Excess”. The band decided to record it themselves and wanted to try and create a sound that would replicate what they do live.
