ABOUT

Electrical Engineer (Electronics). Financed my university education thru music one way or another. Taught music theory at music academies here in Montreal and some a bit south of San Francisco (Cupertino, San Jose, etc.). Paid as a music transcriber here and there when I had time - mostly jazz tunes - sax to guitar transcriptions..things like that. I'm easy to get along with, sight read very well, .

Influences

Musical influences: Parker, Davis, Monk, and the list goes on and on and on.

Electric Guitar/Classical: Hendrix, Page, Beck, Moore, Van Halen, Fripp, Reinhardt, Pass , Sor, Tarrega, and of course Segovia (as a technician-performer, he just didn't have the heart). Currently my heroes: too many to mention.

Piano: Pretty well everyone was awesome. Piano was my first instrument, sax/trumpet: forget it..didn't have the lips and can't play chords on those instruments, blues harmonica I got the hang of, and of course the guitar which I could carry to my courses and look cool.

So now I am early retired, teach part-time at McGill (Engineering), consultant at IBM, so I can manage my own time rather than work 9 to 5. My interests: anything that makes me happy!!
