Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Drums, Trumpet, Saxophone, Piano, Trombone, Upright bass.

Rhythm & lead guitarist with strong knowledge of (jazz) harmony, ability to read standard notation. Studied guitar and theory/harmony with the late, great George Arvola of Kitchener, ON in early-mid 2000s.

Note: The audio clips here are all originals, BUT with a group I am interested in playing standards and other tunes, NOT my own tunes.

Also: Many of the demos feature Freddie Green (big band) chord voicings & rhythm because that's what sounds most interesting to my ears when I'm tasked with covering both guitar & vocals. I AM capable of playing other rhythms & voicings.

I am looking for a jazz, swing or R&B band where I can apply my knowledge of harmony, rhythm, and take an occasional solo.

I'm 43, I have a day job and family, so available for one night of group practice per week. I tend to practise every evening. I'm looking for others who practise their parts so that we can have fun playing great music.
