ABOUT

April 2K8 update: I would love to make it all about rhythm guitar (is it you?). It seems to me that going down the list of all the great rocking bands over the years, rhythm guitar, the unsung hero, is who carrys the band. I need you. Meanwhile, I will be showcasing as much material here as I can manage to get up, imperfect, lacking post production wizardy, but getting the basic idears across. With the right rhythm guitar, to build a band around, I can finally get some roadies. Lets say Supertramp meets NIN. LOL

I am a composer and singer/songwriter keyboardist with over a decade of plumbing/plucking chord progressions out of the mind/sky, and this is me getting serious about surrounding myself with a few good men and/or women with the desire to lose themselves in the music, create a vibe, get a groove on. Diverse styles welcome. Lets make some serious noise, spread it around, if its good, lay it down. Wish list: Saxophone player, drummer, bass, lead and rhythm guitar player, never too many percussionists, and a haunting female voice to die for.

Although keyboards are my primary weapon of mass destruction, I have discovered I really like playing the bass. I have through necessity played both bass and guitar on many of my sonic muses posted here. God too, and pink elephant both began as bass riffs that just fell from my fingers. With the exception of 'winter song', all these songs are recent obsessions. I guess I have learned that producing / recording is still a long, hard slog despite the fantastic technology available to use. I have so many songs yet to record and there just isn't enough time in the day/night. Thank you for visiting my page.

Last summer I hooked up with Cathy Nicholsen, and guitar virtuoso Calvin Cosens to compose the dance track 'bring it on' to close out the movie 'errand boy' produced in Edmonton. Middle class gangster productions picked my 'winter song' to open the movie with. So I provided soundtrack support, filling in the cinematic nuances with different colours, and ultimately scored 90% of a very dark movie with its light. And 'bring it on' to close out the movie. What an adventure!!! The track 'bound' was used for a fight scene.

SPECIAL THANKS TO THESE ARTISTS:

'Cathy Nicholson' sings on Bring it on
which, 'Calvin Cosens' shreds a riff or three.
