Edmonton Undiscovered is a talent development camp for young singers who want to hone their skills. We are looking for a few guitar and piano players who are interested in getting involved with us. Here is what you would be doing and would require:
Guitar and Piano players would be accompanying select artists in the program on their song that they are practicing to sing at the big show (8 shows this summer). The artists range from age 8-38. The process is that they choose a song to sing, and you accompany them at rehearsals (usually once a week on either a Tuesday or a Thursday scheduled around your availability). You would also be accompanying them at their show. The shows are held at the beautiful Muttart Hall at Alberta College Conservatory of Music.
Requirements:
You should be able to play most cover songs by looking at chords or sheet music, or by memory if you already know the song. You will need to be available for the artist at their rehearsal and as well you will have to make yourself available for the day of the show. Must provide your own guitar, however a piano will be provided at both rehearsals and the shows.
This is a fantastic networking opportunity for local musicians! Meet and work with singers in front of a live audience, produced by industry professionals!
