Hey,

We're Severed North, a trio of late twenty/early thirty guys playing metal. We have two guitarists (one does all backups) and a vocalist (singer/screamer/growls) and we're looking for a drummer and a bassist. We currently have a guy trying out to play bass but in the event he drops out and you're interested, drop us a line either way. All three of us have full-time jobs, families, kids etc, so we're looking for people that are cool with practicing every few weeks. We do a lot of the musical work at home and send recordings and collaborate that way; it works. So don't think we're not committed; we are. Goal is to play shows and record properly as everything we have now are rough drafts.

The three of us have been playing for the last 2 years and have written 7 complete songs with another few on the go, ready for collaboration and input. We don't believe in one guy gets creative control, everyone gets a say and we make changes when they're needed. We're really looking for a couple people who dig the sound as it is, and would be down to bring their influences and style to the future songs. You'd also have control to write drums/bass to the current songs as the drummer we have on the tracks is a super tight laptop. He'll be missed, but it's time. Our last drummer got caught up with life and couldn't stay with us, so we have one track with real drums, but we're ready to get them all done. If you like what you hear, give us a shout. We live between Barrhaven and Rockland, so if you're in town somewhere we're good.

Your age, how long you've been playing, any videos or soundclips we can hear of previous bands or just you playing. It's important for you to have transportation. We're not in positions to pick you up unfortnuately, or lug around your gear.
