A drifters life as I was found in alot of bad and good situations as an addict alcoholic flyin high all over North America .
    Tumbleweed © 2004
He drifted like a tumbleweed blowin' in the wind.
    Across the countryside, searchin' within.
Once in a while he'd be caught up in the
    barbed wire fence again.

Year after year his mind would slowly fade.
Not often remembering when or where he'd been.
Or if he'd been there at all and seen
    the things he'd seen.

After awhile blowin' in the wind they'd stop
    to visit with some friends.
They'd open up the door and answer with
a grin. They'd tell him your not welcome
here again . He'd pick up his grip and
    wonder what's with them.

Not often remembering what he'd done
or where he'd been or what he'd said to
    them back then.
    Some time ago back when.

He drifted like tumbleweed blowin' in
the wind. Across the country side searchin'
    for for within.
Once in a while he'd be caught up in
    the barbed wire fence again.
Not often remembering when or where
he'd been . Or if he'd even seen the things
    he'd seen.
