I have been a professional touring musician since 1995. I’ve toured across Canada and the West Coast of the USA and Hawaii.
I stopped performing during the COVID years and started getting involved with union, labour and political activism.
I have a free open jam every Tuesday night for fun and community.
I am putting together a new project, an all gender labour chorus and band. I share political songs, labour and worker songs and songs of protest with members and we work together on arrangements. I am looking for members at any level and experience.
We plan to perform on strike/picket lines to encourage and inspire the striking workers with music.
We will perform at multiple union events.
We will also work towards recording and out of town gigs to support unions across Alberta.
This is a mostly volunteer thing. Perhaps we will get paid sometimes, but this is about activism not getting paid.
