I'm a trained singer with a wide vocal range and musical versatility. I'm a baritone with good extension on the top in some rep. I'm also a songwriter with a knack for catchy melodies and decent (or better) lyrics. I have a handful of completed songs and 100s in the works. I can sing more straight-up rock and pop. Or get more soulful and bluesy. I get a fair bit of work as a singer but I want to focus on my own material and the stuff I really enjoy (see Influences). I'm currently working with an awesome and established producer-engineer.

Influences
My taste is pretty eclectic. I'm a big fan of 60s and 70s rock and soul, and a lot of contemporary artists that rework those sounds: think Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Joss Stone, Raphael Saadiq, The Black Keys, John Legend, Damien Robitaille, Under the Influence of Giants, etc. I'm a fan of really passionate and creative singer-songwriters like Hawksley Workman, James Morrison, Gavin DeGraw, Alex Clare, Regina Spektor, Bjork, Jason Mraz, Christina Perri, etc.
Although some of this doesn't suit my own voice, I like a variety of recent bands including U2, Muse, The White Stripes, Metric, Finger Eleven, Sam Roberts Band, Billy Talent, illScarlett, Coldplay, Incubus, Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, etc. I also like a lot of electro-rock/EDM stuff including Dragonette, Hot Chip, Martin Solveig, Calvin Harris, and Swedish House Mafia.
