ABOUT

Mr. Fantastik is an international artist based in Vancouver, BC Canada. He was born in a historic town called Cape Coast, Ghana, the place enriched with its own history, music, and entertainment. Music and dancing are embedded in their own culture and daily living – fishing and farming.

At a very tender age, Mr. Fantastik lost his family. He became an orphan and ended up in Little Ashram, a village in Ghana called Asian Fasu where Vedas Spiritual Practice shaped and strengthened his spiritual growth. He practiced all kinds of yoga and focused on spiritual life self-discipline. At the age of ten, he moved back to his birth place, Cape Coast and joined the center for national culture, learning and talent development, AGRO company, where he realized that he was given a special gift of talent, not only writing and composing his own music at a young age, but to dance and do so many circus acrobatic tricks, the ability to feel and play any kind of instrument naturally.

Mr. Fantastik is a Reggae and Dancehall artist who fuses African and Jamaican influences and blends them with circus acrobatics, a must-see stage show. Having spent many years travelling internationally as a circus performer and acrobat, it is not unusual to see Mr. Fantastik blending his skills in Afro pop music, Afro folk music, Reggae Dancehall music, R&B and Hip hop. With his easy-going, charismatic stage manner, he has been consistently providing colorful, dynamic performance on every stage he has been invited to and grabbing the attention of numerous audiences in all ages and cultures.

As an international artist, Humanitarian activist and a yogi, Mr. Fantastik has been straddling the boundaries between Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the U.S. organizing the workshops and performing shows and festivals to raise funds to build the centre for national culture learning and talent development for street kids in his hometown, Cape Coast, Ghana to motivate and bring hope to the future generations. This multi-talented performer has also shared the stages with the artists such as Alpha Blondy, Elephant Man, Morgan Heritage, Cat Power, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jose Gonzalez, Eddie Kenzo, Emmanuel Jal, the Tallest Man on Earth, Foy Vance, Lord Huron, and the Cat Empire, Cecile Doo-Kingue, the New Pornographers, Jojo Abot, Alpha Yaya Dialo, Tooth and the Maytals, Maxi Prast, Delhi to Dublin, Black Seeds, Tasman Jude and many others.

Named one of Africa’s Top 10 Global Stars by CTV, he has showcased his talent at the prestigious venues such as The Vogue Theatre Vancouver, BC, Granville Studio Records Vancouver BC, The Commodore Ballroom Vancouver BC and The Rio Theatre.

He has established his own musical and acrobatics, dance company, toured and played in many venues, festivals & TV shows, such as:

Mr. Fantastik continues on his journey of music, dance and acrobatics in North America with Jah request root life reggae band and has been recording over 60 mixtapes, EP’s, singles, and collaborating with other artists. Recently, he was on a tour to Ghana for radio and TV interviews about his Youth Foundation Program and music, and also recorded two hit singles – New Dancehall King and Ready and Steady that can be found on all online music shops.
