ABOUT

I'm an amateur looking to connect with like minded, hearted, spirited musicians (honestly, a great vocalist who plays keys and guitar) to playfully create project/concept songs to jam with and record (and perhaps perform locally). I've played percussion/drums on and off (often only once a month) for 30+ years and very comfortable in the grooves and rhythms that come natural to me (some tribal, polynesian, african, Indian etc). And as a percussionist, plinking and plucking around on the keyboard and guitar have filled in some creative inspiration.
I uploaded a song to Spotify that I recorded for a school (VIU Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Graduate Program) project/assignment this year. It's called Intro-Creation by Saharamony. It's meant to be the opening song of a lifelong project that includes all of the growth in my life and with the influence genres/artists listed below.

Influences

Recently - Desert Dwellers, Liquid Bloom, Shamans Dream and various Psychedelic Assisted Therapy session songs. Drumming, chanting, Indigenous mixes. I'm pretty fussy though. If I like it I'm really into it, if not, I won't listen at all. Grew up on Oldschool rocker/blues - Pink Floyd, SRV, ZZTop, Nazareth, Heart, April Wine, Judas Priest, Supertramp, Rush, Eagles. Would love to remix/cover some of their songs. My 1st step out of those genres was into Indigenous Flute, drumming and nature songs and some meditation music. Ambient Chill. Then Enigma, Dead Can Dance, Deep Forest in the early 90's. Lovin' the Dub these daze...
