ABOUT
Currently working on some demos on my own, which will be the beginning of this project. I am creating a 5-6 song demo to work with initially, and once we work through the kinks I'd like to proceed to record it within a year of establishing the band in the edmonton scene. I am capable of recording all parts for the initial EP, unless you insist on tracking your own instrument.
I'm looking to work with seriously dedicated musicians, who are capable to committing to a long term relationship with the 'brand'. I'm also open to musicians who don't want to "write" for the project but would rather be told what to play and when to show up. Either way works for me! I believe its important to be able to have great friendships, being in a band is like having a second family. So it'd be a bonus if you were a cool, honest, caring person.
Any member would have the freedom to have an input into the music, so long as it doesn't change the entirety of the sound/genre.
Searching for male/female members between the ages of 18-30, preferably with some level of experience (lessons, theory, previous band history, live shows, dealing with the background band business, etc) I'm open to working with people who live outside of Edmonton, the only requirement in that case would be that you would have to be able to make it to rehearsals at least 2 times per week, and more if we are especially active - for example, rehearsing for specific gigs. That being said, I do not have a jam space at this time, but once all the members are together it is possible to get one.
The ultimate goal is to create irresistible music, maintain a professional image and sound, and be able to take the "next step" over and over if the opportunities present themselves. One step at a time though, lets not get too far ahead here!
