ABOUT

Psychedelic rock/folk, shoegaze, grunge, experimental, punk
Music: gentle as a shaft of sunlight on a few motes of dust,
or abrasive and loud like a monstrous vacuum cleaner.

I'm inspired by ceiling fans, air ducts (who knows where they go...), nostalgic suburban memories, vortexes (black holes, tornadoes, whirlpools), fleeting epiphanies before the dream ends and we wake up to the mundane.

By the way I am by no means 'great', but I'm willing to work hard to become as good as I can be. I am not a beginner either.

I have a day job as a Writer/Producer at a Radio Station. I mention that as my production knowledge might be useful. Due to my job I'm unavailable weekdays (10 AM - 6 PM). I am willing to share a residence with band members so we can practice/write daily.

EQUIPMENT

Electric Guitar - Dean Vendetta (will be replaced, when the need arises, so far it's been good enough for the occasional jam)

Acoustic Guitar - Norman B18 Protége (warm, mellow cedar guitar...good for twilight-y ethereal melodies...that's what I envision anyways.)

Amp(s) - Fender Princeton Chorus (pretty decent!), Peavey Rage 158 (Yuck!, came with my first guitar, I'd almost rather play unplugged), Danelectro Hodad Mini - Amp (Pretty cool actually, good for lo-fi recordings, plus you can pick it up and strum with it making some very strange sounds in the process).

Effects Pedals - I have an effects bank (cheap, has a bunch of different effects). Admittedly I don't know much about pedals vs. effects banks and I don't really know who to ask. So until I know definitively I just use that (and that's when I use it,which is...infrequently).

I have a drum kit or most of one, it's kind of a hand me down and in another city (I don't play drums much, but I'd really like to play a lot more). I think I have a talent for it, but I can't honestly say I'm a drummer.

I have harmonicas (I sound O.K, but if I actually learned how to play I'd sound a lot better).

I have tambourines, and other things too.
