ABOUT

I've been in many bands over 25-30 years - I am a lead vocalist with Lots of live and studio experience. I've written more songs that I can remember.

I do play some rhythm guitar, but my one main goal right now is to get back to my first true love, and that's singing the very greatest classic rock songs from the 50s through to the 70s.

I am open to doing more recent stuff also. The 50s - 70s era classic rock is my true love though.

I'm all about being involved with like minded people who are very good at what they do, so we can put on a really, really solid show for regular people like me. And the greatest heart warming thing for me while I'm on stage singing is to see people's faces when they hear "that" song and you can see it brought them a really great memory.

In my mind that is the true power in music. When it connects with our past, and brings a long forgotten yet beloved memory back from our "youth". Or unfortunately, songs can bring bitter sweet memories also. Whenever I hear "Someone Saved my Life Tonight" by Elton John, it's bittersweet because that was my brother's favourite song. We lost Jim back in 2003 after a tremendous war with cancer at 45. Four young girls and a very ill wife who passed the next year.

I hear that song and as sad as it is, I still get fantastic memories of my bro....sigh

It's a great feeling when a person, or couple go out of their way to thank me for playing "their" song.
I know, a bit mushy but still important to this renaissance man!.
I truly love the connection with a crowd. There's very few things that make me feel that way.

Influences

I am a huge Beatle fan, I also love McCartney's Wings stuff.
There's a lot of great Motown stuff.

I like a lot of the Scorpions stuff, and really just the all time great classic rock music in general.

There is tons of great 50s/60s/70s music and that's really what I'm interested in doing.

I have always wanted to rent the Leacock Theatre here in town and do a cancer benefit show.

I hope I've opened up enough here for the right group of people to see where I'm coming from, and hopefully that group is reading this right now!
