Hammerdrone is a melodic death metal band from Calgary, AB, Canada. Formed in October 2010, Hammerdrone features Graham Harris on vocals; Vinnie Cardellini on drums; Rick Cardellini on lead guitar and Curtis Beardy on rhythm guitar and backing vocals.

We released a debut EP, “A Demon Rising” in Oct 2012, to critical acclaim in the underground metal press from as far afield as Nepal and Poland, as well as a resounding 8/10 from Bravewords.com, who noted “the band will undeniably find ten fans for every one longhair who dismisses them”. We followed up with a single, “Wraiths On The Horizon” during summer 2013.

Noted for the intensity and professionalism of our live shows, 2013 saw us play prime slots at both the Calgary Metalfest II and inaugural Farmaggedon festival near Edmonton.

Fall and winter has been spent recording, mixing and mastering our debut full-length, “Clone Of Europa”. Featuring almost 50 minutes of melodic death metal, the album further develops our own style of blending ferocity with atmosphere, epic melody with bludgeoning heaviness. Release is anticipated for January 2014.

We are seeking a bass player with a professional but relaxed attitude, with experience, technical competence and their own gear, who loves writing, playing and gigging original metal music as much as we do. Age wise, we are 25-35.
