SEEKING
Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Keyboard.ABOUT
Just moved into the Hamilton Area, and looking for a couple of guys who want to practice one day a week, and perform at a local retirement home a couple of times a month.
I was in a trio in Brampton, and still plan to play with them, but only during the summer months. so I am looking for new opportunities to sing and play in the Hamilton area. I practice most mornings, and look for new material every day. Our trio practiced every Tuesday from 1am til 5PM .... We have two one hour gigs a month at a local retirement home year round, and an annual Dinner Dance that we have done for seven years now.

Influences
My biggest influence was my dad, being a full time musician, I was exposed to Classic Country for most of my early years. I grew up with Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, Hank Snow, Patsy Cline.
After I left Montreal, I listened to Rock and Roll,( Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis and love to sing it.
I have been known to sing most anything, but this Trio concentrates mostly on 50's and 60's dance music,
Interested in learning / playing top 10 hits from the 50's, thru 90's from any of the popular genres. have over 110 classic country songs i sing, and about 60 Rock and roll songs, working on Motown and Crooner stuff this winter. (not into Rap, Grunge, Metal, or Hard Rock!)

EQUIPMENT
I have a few guitars, and a number of other instruments I have not mastered (steel pan, banjo, bass guitar, Uke, washboard, bongos, and Guiro).
As a solo performer, intimate group, I mix it up between a Martin D-28, a Marin HD-35, and a Gretch Honey Dipper,
If I use my Fishman amp, I typically use a Yamaha Silent Guitar, an Ibanez SX72 , or a Gretch Country Gentleman.
Recently picked up the Katana 50 for my Les Paul, but my challenge is to get the tone I am looking for using a computer with BTS,
I have several setups that I use for our trio. We are primarily a vocal group, three voices, one on Harmony, and two on lead and back up) We have Keys, Uke, Mandolin, Rhythm guitar and Finger Style guitar to back up our vocals.
We change equipment based on the size of the venue and the audience we perform for.
Most recently we use two Fishman amps connected to a Bose L1. and manage our sound individually then combine on the Bose unit.
For larger audiences, I run a Berhinger PMP3000 with a pair of Yorkville E-10's.
