Such is the case with Eyes on Ivan, the latest endeavour from Cory Dee, who you may be familiar with from his banjo-picking/ keyboard playing with Albertan folk-rock group Owls by Nature. Based out of Edmonton, Eyes On Ivan are a melody driven folk band that offers both heavy hearted ballads as well as foot stomping infectious melodies. It is through coming back to Cory Dee's maritime roots, and with the help of producer, Jay Sparrow, that Dee was able to gain a clear vision of what Eyes On Ivan would be: heartfelt, simple and pure, music for the sake of music. In essence, it would fast become a lesson in the pursuit of happiness and following the true passions of ones heart.
