I am a 52 year-old drummer who would like to connect with other musicians, young or old. While I have played a fair amount of kit over the years (for fun), my main focus was in competitive pipe bands, where I competed at the highest level for over 20 years. I also studied classical percussion in college, but that was a looooong time ago.
While I love all genres of music, I find myself listening mostly to hard rock, grunge, 90's alternative, metal, and heavy prog.
I want to play my favourite music with like-minded musicians who want to produce a very good product. I am committed to rehearsing once a week with the band and believe in showing up prepared. I'm comfortable playing covers and think I would enjoy the challenge of doing some original material as well.
My goal is to grow as a musician, meet new people, build new memories, play some gigs, record some tracks and have fun. Ideally, my band would include both male and female lead vocalists (greater versatility, range, harmonies, tonal variance, etc.), guitar(s), bass and keys.
I am humble, positive, easy-going, very open to constructive feedback and genuinely enjoy collaboration.
