ABOUT

I'm a trained vocalist specializing in jazz/blues currently gigging in and around the GTA and Mississauga. I’ve recently completed an album titled ONE FINE MORNING. Jan 2020. It’s now been in rotation on Toronto’s JazzFM91 since January. I hire sidemen - wonderful musicians, but I miss the thrill of working with a band - piano or/and guitar/bass/drums - who share with me a commitment in creating our own unique sound. I am not a diva. It's about the band. In performance, the singer doesn't have to be included on every tune. I'd want to rehearse/gig fairly regularly. I have a big basement. Hoping to hear from at least some who can transpose and write charts. Love performing tunes from the Great American Songbook, but enjoy throwing in R&B, blues, bossas and current tunes to make for a more interesting performance, creating unique arrangements. Living in Mississauga - would like to keep within a 30 minute drive to rehearse. You can see/hear more of my music/background at reverbnation dot com forward slash deniselesliesings. I can be reached at deniseleslie at rogers dot com.
