ABOUT

I am seriously seeking someone for a duo to start: acoustic, blues, jazz, contemporary, world music, standards as well ... for paid gigs. You are committed, reliable & professional, like me. Hotels, restaurants, coffee & wine bars, house concerts, corporate parties & festivals.

I also teach piano, guitar & art. I have no students in the summer & do not have a full time job. I do not teach on weekends anytime. I am a business person with some connections & can secure some gigs for us & if you can too that would be all the better. Gigs 1-3 nights per week would be ideal.

A seasoned performer from a musical family, I have played at festivals, clubs, concerts, jams, open mics, in bands and as a solo performer. An intuitive creative spirit with many outlets of expression, I am re-entering the music biz, after taking time out to paint, also a visual artist, photographer & social media maven.

Influences

I cut my musical teeth on the Motown sound, 60's jazz, & standards from the 30's & 40's. Influences are wide spread from early era of roots right through to contemporary capturing the magic of a well disciplined voice and a true love for music. Nina Simone, Carmen McRae, Sade, Etta James, Adele, Bessie Smith, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday and so many more.
