I have taught guitar and drums for over twenty five years. I also have a part time gig as a rock band teacher for a rural high school. I currently front a gospel blues band which is a part time gig but I am also interested in potential collaborations with other musicians. I am pretty open to other styles of music and would love to hear about your project and how I could support you. I can offer guitar (acoustic/electric, lead/rhythm), drum and vocal skills. I'm willing to work with one project at a time but If there's some chemistry maybe it will turn into something lasting. I would love to make a little $ on the side but I am primarily interested in the creative process. If the chemistry is there the $ will come. I am willing to do some travelling.

Influences
My first influences were all of the classic rock of the 80s: Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd AC DC, Black Sabbath etc. I transitioned into Christian rock and then later into gospel blues. I still listen to a wide variety of gospel and secular musicians. I'm a big fan of gospel blues artists like THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA and MIKE FARRIS. I think RUSS TAFF's earlier gospel blues/rock/country stuff is awesome. RICH MULLINS is one of my all time favorite contemporary Christian artist. I love the ERIC CLAPTON crossroads festivals. I've been listening to a lot of JOE BONAMASSA lately. I prefer rock/blues/funk styles and have never been a big fan of main stream (top 40) music with the rare exception of somebody like John Mayer.

3 amplifiers (two tube, 1 solid state).
