ABOUT
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and raised in the seaside community of Indian Harbour, just this side of Peggy's Cove, this unique blend of “city” schooling and “country” nurturing has served as inspiration to Danny Banfield in his 20-some years of singing, performing, songwriting and recording. Initially as a member of The Luv Handles, Danny has gone on to perform as a solo artist, as a host of various regular "jams" in metro, as an event promoter/producer/engineer, and as an engineer/producer of recordings for local artists. Dan's "day job" with Long & McQuade further broadens the scope of his knowledge of the music industry. Currently, as the lead singer for The Laughing Freemen, Danny is the frontman of this cover band, offering spot-on renditions of classic pop/rock tunes.
