I LOVE to sing, and have the level of commitment and talent it takes to be successful. I have always wanted to sing in a band and feel that I would make an existing band an awesome addition either as a lead or back up singer. I do have a background in piano, also. I have hesitated a bit on leaving the piano in, as I am primarily looking for a group to SING with...however, I DO have an ear for music, and can pick up melodies quite easily on the piano.

Influences
My earliest influences were probably country in origin as I was raised in a rural farming community. I sang in chorus' and choirs throughout elementary and highschool, as well as having taken 6 years of piano lessons, 4 of which were Royal Conservatory. Vocally I have mainly sang in a choir atmosphere, performing everything from pop and show tunes, to choir music and most recently, acapella, in a four part harmony barbershop choir (the Sweet Adelines). I also am an awesome solo acapella singer and can sing anything without having to rely on background music. I have performed onstage in my home town as well as for many family functions. All of these experiences have helped shape my musical tastes and have influenced not only my listening preferences, but, also helped develop my ear and improve my vocal ability and styling, both of which continue to be influenced on a constant basis.
