Cabrakaän are a symphonic folk metal project originally from Mexico and currently based in Calgary, Canada.

Drawing on instruments, melodies, mythologies, and oral histories of their ancestral Mexica (pronounced “mesh-eek-ah“) people, the band tells powerful, evocative stories that transcend language and culture. Cabrakaän have released three EPs: Songs from Anahuac (2013), Anahuac My Home (2019), and Aztlán (2023).
We’ve toured and performed in Mexico and Canada, and are looking for ambitious musicians with a professional mindset to join our project for tours and international festivals.
