Reared musically in an Anglican boys choir, Bluebloods’ central creator Conrad Sweatman (guitarist, producer, songwriter) was born in Winnipeg, Treaty 1 land. He collaborates with singers and other musicians to create the sounds of Bluebloods, whose cheeky name refers to the noble blue-collar lineage and subarctic ice running through Manitoba’s veins.

Bluebloods’ debut EP Make It Rain (release date 12 November 2019), is a strikingly original and infectious work, seamlessly blending classical, Jai Paul-inspired R&B, and EDM over five songs. Lush, acoustic harmonies cradle elegant melodies, punctuated by 808 bass and bursts of electro zaniness. Led by producer, guitarist, and songwriter Conrad Sweatman, Bluebloods’ line-up of guest singers include Courtney Devon (Amadians), Roman Clarke, and others.

The Make It Rain EP deals largely with the ‘fly-over country’ that extends roughly from Michigan to Saskatchewan: clandestine dances in Mennonite Manitoba, Dust Bowl and dominatrixes, and the post-industrialization of Detroit.
