ABOUT

I'm looking to start or join a band in Toronto or York. Trombone is my main instrument, and I love using its unique sound in all sorts of genres, from folk to RnB to jazz and so on. I also play around with some others instruments, mostly to write songs.

I'm looking for a semi-serious band that wants to write its own songs, improve over time, perform every now and then, and make an album eventually.

Influences

I've played folk, pop-folk/rock, alternative, classical, marching band, classic rock, jazz, funk, RnB, and some combinations of those, including some studio work.

The attached tracks are from my most recent project: an indie pop-folk band called The Vatican Space Program.

The kinds of projects I'm most interested in right now are:
1) Indie pop-folk with American and/or Eastern European folk influences (like The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bright Eyes, Devotchka)
2) Soul/pop-RnB (think Otis Redding, Amy Winehouse)
3) Jazz combo or jazz band
