Singer/song writer/ Producer/ Engineer- looking for very talented, original, professional, reliable musicians to collaborate with, who are interested in doing something unique, mysterious, dark, noisy, synthetic, rock and roll, tribal, emotional, jazzy, funky and totally out of the norm. I like funk and jazz influenced music and musicians, but I write dark, mysterious, emotionally charged and moving songs. I believe my job as an artist and musician is to act as a channel, or medium. It's a shamanistic type of relationship between us, the 'unknown', and the audience.
DRUMS- If i could find a cross between Steve Gadd, Jimmy Chaimberlin, Buddy Rich and Jo Jo Mayer, that would be awesome (highly unlikely though)!
For BASS- I'm looking for someone who's funk/jazz influenced, plays finger style, with the ability to play a lot of slap and pop, and left hand slapping etc., but who isn't afraid to throw on some distortion occasionally.
For GUITARS- I want someone who is interested in atmospheric soundscapes, noise, alternate tunings, a lot of effects- basically someone who can play well, but Who is willing to try things on guitar that aren't done often.
KEYBOARDS- I'd like to work with someone who has some synths and who can record and program, but who has good keyboard playing abilities as well.
